2. Complete the online Application.The ORI for Ocean Township, Monmouth County is NJ0133700.You will need the email addresses for two (2) references.References can be family members.
3. You must come to the Ocean Township Police Department to pay for your initial FAID card and/or Pistol Purchase Permits.The cost is $5.00 for the FAID card and $2.00 for each permit.Exact change or a check payable to Township of Ocean Police Department is preferred.We cannot begin processing your Application until you have paid.

1. It is not necessary to bring confirmation to the Ocean Township Police Department after your fingerprint appointment.
2. Automated emails will be sent throughout the process.
3. Advise references that they will receive an email with reference questions. We cannot begin processing your Application until they respond to the email.
4. Once your Application is complete, someone from the Ocean Township Police Department will contact you to pick up your documents.
