Division of Housing

Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

The Housing Division is responsible for conducting Certificate of Occupancy inspections on all new sales of homes, condos and townhouses and any rentals that change occupancy. Along with the Fire Prevention Bureau, an inspector will come out and walk through the residence to inspect for any discrepancies. He then will check the outside on the house along with the property to assure that there is no violations or safety issues. If he finds any, he will issue a notice of violation to whoever requested the inspection. Part of the process is to assure that all building permits are closed for SALES and that no new construction is performed without permits.  Prior to obtaining the CO application, please make sure all work was performed in accordance to the Construction Official.
